Lindsey Own, Educator

I'm launching my 10th year as a middle school science and health teacher, a career that has been interspersed with research-based curriculum development and state-level science education reform administration. My love is in the classroom, supporting my students in understanding themselves, their growth, and the great impact they can have on the world. I work with edtech entrepreneurs through organizing the Seattle EdTech Meetup, and am a fierce advocate for collaboration between teachers, learning sciences researchers, and edtech entrepreneurs. I believe that - by working together - we can truly improve learning outcomes for all children.
